Rocket Launching

I noticed we have a lot of stuff for younger kids and thought maybe I would put an idea for older kids. This activity is really a favorite at our house. My husband works part time at a Hobby store here in town so we have tons of these kind of toys around. Supervision is a must with this one though! :) You can buy a rocket already put together or you can buy a model that you need to put together. We have done both and the launcher is bought seperatley. The rockets range anywhere from $8.00-$40.00 and the launcher runs about 29-39 dollars. But they are also sold together in a kit for about the same price. So it is a costly activity up front but once you have the rocket and the launcher you can use it over and over again for just the cost of new rocket engines. Our 10 year old son has been doing rockets since he was at least two and it is still one of his favorite things to do. Our 6 year old daughter did it for the first time today and loved it.
So head to your local hobby shop and give it a try!!!!!!
