Mandee is the expert on Italian food. The spent her teenage years in Italy, and oh, she's also lived in Greece and was an exchange student in Egypt! Girl can cook some yummy food!! This is nothing compared to Mandee's but it's much easier to make. This would have looked better, but I didn't have pepper and I didn't have time to wait for my hubby to get home with it. I had to eat and run before young women's so imagine, if you will little specks of pepper on top!
1/2 cup butter
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 cups milk
6 oz. grated Parmesan Cheese
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
Melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan over medium heat. Add cream cheese and garlic powder, stirring with wire whisk until smooth. Add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps. Stir in Parmesan and pepper. Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency. Sauce will thicken rapidly, thin with milk if cooked too long. Toss with hot pasta to serve. (I also add 2 cups cooked chicken to mine)
