Dipping Caramel in a Crockpot

This is the easiest thing in the world. All you need is a crock pot and a can of sweetened condensed milk.

Take 1 can sweetened condensed milk and place in crock pot on it’s side. No need to take off the paper. Cover with water so that water level is 1 inch above can. Let cook on low for 8 hours. Remove from crock pot . Can serve warm with apples or on ice cream. For a thicker caramel for dipping apples, let set in the fridge to cool overnight or for several hours.

Here is my caramel!! So tasty! I put mine in the fridge over night and it worked really well for dipping apples. It is very similar to the expensive caramel dip you can buy in the fruit section of the grocery store.
Happy Dipping!
