My little sweetie is in a cute baby contest. There are only 10 contestants so our odds are pretty good. We are trying to win a photo session from the very talented Deborah Harroun. I live 4 hours away from her, but I'm willing to travel because I am so impressed with her work. If you have a minute, would you please go and vote for her? I would appreciate it so much. You can vote once a day on her website and if your live in Utah, you should visit her facebook page and become a fan. That is how I found out about this contest. Then if you become a facebook fan, you could vote on that page to. You can vote their once a day also.
Click here to vote for cute #3.
But please, don't feel obligated to vote. Only if you would like to help, and we would really appreciate it. Thank you so much!!

Simply string a needle with heavy duty thread or dental floss. Tie a knot in the end leaving enough of a tail to tie it off at the end. And let the kids string them on. They are a big tough to get the need through. We had pretty big jelly beans. Next time I would probably go with smaller. My 5-year-old was even able to do this. Although, it was taking him forever to get them on, so I ended up helping in the end. I made my 2-year-olds while she handed me sticky sucked on jelly beans! But the 3 older kids, did fabulous and did it all by themselves. This would be a craft from about Kindergarten up. It does get a bit sticky! But that is half the fun!

Aren't these darling? I printed the template for this off their blog. I gave these all of my Young Women yesterday and they loved them!! So cute! Everyone who saw them loved them! I ended up printing them out in a 5x7 size. I just printed them and the toppers were way to big. 5x7 was just right. The big ones are going to be stuck to a box of peeps and left on the lawns of those we are egging tonight.
I actually got this picture off their blog. How cute is that sign? I have mine all printed and ready to go for Family Home Evening tonight! My kids and I stuffed the eggs last night and we've got our targets picked and we're ready to go egging!
Go check out their blog. You will seriously fall in love with all the fun ideas!

If you hadn't noticed, Mandee hasn't been posting since December. And I'm all good with that, the girl is super busy!! Whenever she decides to hop back in, she's more than welcome! But to this point, I've been able to post a post a day! YEAH! I love it, but if I miss a day, then I feel guilty!!! I didn't start blogging to feel guilty, but as a hobby because i enjoy it. And let's face it, there are way more talented and awesome bloggers out there.
However, my point is, I am going to stop posting every day. I am going to try and post at least a couple of times a week. I have more daily reads to get up for you all! I've got lot's of projects, it's just a matter of doing it all. So, please stick around while I try to catch up with life and I will see you sometime next week!

All you need to do this craft is packages of kool-aid and water. I used about 1/2 a pkg. of kool-aid to 3 Tbsp. water. You can use more or less, depending on how thick you want to make it. This smells so yummy!! That is the best part. But be careful because it does stain hands and I am sure it does clothes too!

I have a new obsession with fabric flowers. I LOVE them. You can wear them with anything! I love adding them to my hair on a simple jeans and t-shirt day. It gives it just a little bit extra and can totally change up your look! I was having a hard time deciding which set I like best. I am a headband addict, so I am in love with all 3 of the headbands. Good thing I have more material and can make more. My hubby wants me to open an etsy shop, but he doesn't understand that everyone is making and selling these. Besides, if I made it into work, it wouldn't be fun!
So since I couldn't decide, I will be giving away all 3 sets! Three lucky winners!!!! You have 2 chances for entries.
1. Leave a comment on this post between now and Thursday, 11:59 p.m. Please let us know why you come and visit us and what posts you have loved. Is there something you would like to see more of?? And tell me which of the 3 set's, you like the best. Winners will be drawn at random, and which set you get will be a surprise. I have them all boxed and ready to just stick addresses on. Oh man, I love surprises!
2. Be a follower. Make sure to leave a separate comment on this post for that extra entry.
I will be using Random.org and announcing our lucky winners on Friday morning.
You will have 1 week to claim your prize. If I haven't heard back from you in that time, I will have to pick a new winner. So make sure to check back!
This whiteboard calendar was only $3.00. Seriously! All it needed was to have the board cleaned and the bottom needed some tigthening and it was good to go. I am loving it!! We put it up last night and I've already had to change a few things on it. It's also magnetic!! Seriously a great find.

All we did was find some bigger sized rocks, washed them and painted them in different shades of green. We even broke out the blow dryer to dry them quickly. We decorated them with googly eye's. I have oodles of craft supplies, but this was all the kids wanted to do. I love, love, love the Geico eye's!! That was what my 5-year-old was calling them!

I put a little note, that as always read a book if your questioning the content of the book, when looking to let your kids read it. I thought this was a great book, but I don't think it's aimed at below 16-year-old readers. I don't. The characters in the book are between 15 to 20 years old. They talk a little bit about sex, but only in passing. There is a couple of make out sessions. But it's pretty clean. They do address homosexuality a bit, but it's not a major part of the story. There is some language, but it's pretty mild. There is a MAJOR and slightly disturbing story line throughout the books, but it gets fixed in the end. You'll know what I am talking about after you finish the first book. I was glad to know that, because it made me a lot less uncomfortable through out the book.
I may have just given something away, but I felt much better after someone let me know that little secret.
The characters in the book are funny, quirky and each one has so many diffrent dimensions to them. Magnus is one of my favorites. He cracks me up. His eccentric clothes and the funny things he say's.
All in all, I loved it. It's a great story. Jace, who is one of the main characters and love interest in the book is my new fictional favorite. Like I said before, Edward, who??

Mamwhich kinda gal. I like the homemade kind. Super easy and you probably have all the ingredients on hand to make it.
2 lb. ground beef
salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tsp. mustard
4 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. barbecue sauce
1 Tbsp. Apple Cider vinegar
2 small cans of tomato sauce
Season hamburger meat and brown with onions. I also like to throw in some dehydrated peppers with mine. Drain grease. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes.
This is a good recipe to play around this. It's the base I use when I make mine, but sometimes we leave the BBQ sauce out and sometimes we don't use as much brown sugar. Just modify it to fit the taste of your family.

It's a mix between Twilight and Harry Potter. But spicier. Yes, spicier than Twilight. Okay well maybe not, but the heart throb in this book is Jace. He's a hot, bad boy demon slayer and let me tell ya, he's my new fictional boyfriend. Edward, who??? I'm hopeless, I like that bad boy image. I just hope they cast someone fitting to the part when they make the movie, unlike they did with Edward and Robert Pattinson :(.
Anyway, it's well worth the time to read. There are currently 3 books out, and I hear that she is possibly going to continue the series, but not following these specific characters. Book 1 was so good, I'm pretty sure the rest of the series will be too. If your interested, you can check them out on Amazon. I'll let ya know what I think, when I'm done.
*As alway's read books first before you let your kids read. I'm 1/3 rd of the way through the 2nd book and wow!! I know it's aimed at teens, but I don't know if it's something I would let mine read until they were older teenagers. *
